Antioch was one of the most important cities of the late Roman and early Christian world. Sculpture, mosaics and everyday objects, joined by reconstructions and video, transported the visitor back into the vibrant daily life of the city. The show’s centerpiece was the first assembly of an entire mosaic floor from a wealthy Antioch dining room. Prior to this, the mosaic, separated after excavation, hand never been seen in its entirety.
